The Achieve Desk program is designed to serve multiple participant groups. The program provides a structured training model that supports participants who are exploring engineering career pathways, transitioning into technical occupations, or building foundational aerospace competencies. In addition, the pathway supports employers seeking to develop reliable entry-level aerospace engineering talent through a consistent, competency-focused training structure that combines workplace learning with organized related instruction.

Credential Opportunity

Participants complete certification requirements based on a 12 week credentialing process. (Time may vary based on credential and learner).​​​

Aerospace Engineering Registered Apprenticeship

Qualified Candidate Expectations

Achieve Desk is seeking highly motivated individuals to join our U.S. Department of Labor Registered Aerospace Engineering Apprenticeship. This competency-based program combines paid work experience with Achieve Desk's Related Technical Instruction , preparing apprentices for careers in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, advanced manufacturing, defense, aviation, and space technologies.

Our apprenticeship is designed for individuals who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, technical curiosity, and a commitment to professional growth.

Application Requirements

Please email the following documents to recommendation@steamscentral.org:

  • Three (3) professional or academic letters of recommendation

  • Current resume

  • High school and/or college transcripts 

  • Engineering portfolio (if available)

  • Certifications, awards, or licenses (optional)

  • Research papers, technical writing samples, or engineering projects (optional)

  • Robotics, coding, CAD, or competition experience (optional)

Applications are reviewed on a competitive basis.

No single experience is required, but demonstrated initiative is highly valued.

While acceptance of this program does not guarantee admission to any university, apprentices complete industry-recognized competencies, documented engineering experience, and a professional portfolio that strengthens future academic and career opportunities.
